Catching up with 2009 graduate Anne Gegg!

Anne Gegg initially got her TEFL with Costa Rica TEFL with the thought of having an income while traveling. What she didn’t expect was to find her passion along the way. Anne graduated from Costa Rica TEFL in October of 2009 and immediately moved to Bocas Del Toro, Panama where she taught in a mixed level grade school After two years in Bocas, Anne moved to Panama City, Panama where she taught English to adults and children at ELS Panama and also volunteered with local high risk students from the areas of Chorillo, Santa Ana and San Felipe, Panama City. In 2012, Anne started teaching at the Metropolitan School of Panama working with teen students who struggle with learning difficulties. She is now finishing her studies for her International Teaching Certificate and International Baccalaureate (IB) Certificate in Teaching and Learning. She attributes a lot of her success to the high energy, multi intelligence teaching philosophy approach that she learned through Costa Rica TEFL. She has fallen in love with Panama’s culture and international education.  When she isn’t teaching and studying she enjoys the beach, snorkelling, hiking, reading, cooking, gardening and volunteering with the local community.
